EXPENDITURES

our 2007 operating budget is $4,500/ month or $ 54,000/ year.
All patients at Kim Long Charity Health Center are poor and cannot afford routine medical care. Many wait until becoming very sick before coming for help.
All are pre-screened and referred to Kim Long Charity Health Center by their village leaders or healthcare workers. Each local area is allotted only 4-6 patients per day to ensure that the Health Center is able to care for all arrival. All medications are also given to patients free of charges.
A small fee is charged for X-ray, Ultra Sound, or anesthesia for dental extraction. We have asked for a small token of payment for these special services but understandably, most patients cannot even afford it.

The estimate for monthly expenditure is $4,500 as follows :
· Staff salary: all our staff works hard to support the charity mission of the Kim Long Charity Health Center. They are compensated with a small salary for their dedication. Our physicians receive $40/month for 3-day/week work. Our nurses and support staff receive much less. Total salary is $1,500;
· Medication expenses: the biggest expense at $2,000 because medications must be purchased with cash;
· Other expenses: maintenance, utilities, transportation, gasoline at $1,000.
